Caring for your hat when you're not wearing it is easy and rewarding! Start by placing your hat upside down on a table, ensuring it's in a safe position. Next, insert your Hat Maintainer into the hat, with the logo facing either the front or the back. Twist the black metal handle counter-clockwise until the Hat Stretcher feels snug inside. It's important to position the wooden part where your head naturally rests against the inside of the hat band. Just a little snugness is all you need—think of it like the comfort of wearing it!

 

If you're looking to stretch your hat to a larger size, you'll want to begin by following those same initial steps! After that, bring in the steam! Apply steam around the hat band area; don't hesitate to ensure it's nice and damp. This will soften the material just right for stretching—boiling water or a steam iron works wonderfully! With the wooden part still positioned correctly, slowly twist the center handle until your hat reaches the desired size. For best results, leave the Hat Stretcher in overnight, and by morning, your hat will fit perfectly!
